Approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed every year because shelters are too full and there aren't enough adoptive homes due to the amount of pepole geting there dogs from puppy mills and breeders. Purchasing a purebred dog from a breeder and/or puppy mill can cost anywhere between $500 to $3,000 dollars where adoping rescued pupies can range anywhere from $50 to $350 or more. there is a sinifacant diffrance in price and by atoping a dog you are also saving lifes. other shelters are not as kind as some, 56 percent of dogs and 71 percent of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized due to the amount of pets in the shelters. Breeding dogs at puppy mills are treated like production machines and cash crops at the cost of their health and happiness and I think this should not be tolerated and people should start rescuing there dog not shoping for them like items.
