Because it is personally important to me and my sense of national identity, I am advocating for a change in the term we use to refer to our currency. Instead of the short, nondescript "AUD" for Australian Dollar, I propose we adopt a more unique, and nationally representative term - the "Australian Dollarydoos". Not only will this set us apart on the global stage, but it will also bring a touch of humor and light-heartedness to an otherwise serious arena. The Australian economy is robust, witnessing a GDP growth of 2.74% in 2019[1]. Let's demonstrate this strength and character by reinventing our currency name. So, stand with me, support diversity and make our currency a symbol of our national spirit. Sign the petition and let's change our Australian Dollars into Australian Dollarydoos.
