On 7/15/25, Kitsap County Council on Human Rights voted to align themselves with two recent resolutions of the Washington State Human Rights Commission. 

Resolution One condemns any violence, hate, and discrimination directed at Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, stands against efforts to silence those advocating for human rights of these groups, and urges the US government to stop supplying military aid to Israel. 

Resolution Two condemns all forms of antisemitism, expresses unwavering support for the safety, well-being, and rights of Jewish people in the state, distinguishes antisemitism from anti-Zionism, and affirms commitment to free speech.

We urge our local City Councils and the County Board of Commissioners to follow the lead of the Washington State Human Rights Commission and the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights and adopt and uplift these two resolutions, too.
