The bus riders at Friendship Junior High School should be allowed to choose whoever they want to sit with and have that be their assigned seat. First of all, many kids don't even sit in their assigned seats. We understand they are doing this for contact tracing, but some students feel uncomfortable with who they have to sit with. Instead, they should let people choose who they want to sit with beforehand, therefore the administrators can make a seating chart from that and students will be less likely to move seats if they are sitting with someone they are comfortable with. If they let kids choose, it will make a much better environment on the bus and it's a win-win situation for both students and administrators.
