At the moment, many people are getting kicked off the Belair line trains with their bikes because the official limit is 4 bikes per carriage. A system that used to work was that adelaide metro had a separate carriage for bikes and their riders. What I am proposing is that Adelaide Metro brings this carriage back from the dead or creates adequate room for bikes (12-15 per carriage) on the existing carriages. This can be achieved by the removal and replacement of seating to accommodate bikes. If we can make this happen it will most certainly boost mountain bike tourism in adelaide, something that the state government is providing funding to do. 

This addition will not only benefit cyclists but other members of the public because this will mean that bikes are more spread out and not blocking the pathway through the carriage.
