We just passed 820 signatures!
Thanks everyone who has supported so far! If you haven't done so already, please share with others who might be interested. The more signatures we get the more likely it is our petition to reinstate in person learning will be featured. The more support we get the more pressure we can put on SDSU to 1) Reinstate in person learning at the beginning of the semester.
If this fails then we hope that SDSU will 2) Reimburse students for empty on campus housing. 3) Get them to extend the add/drop deadline to allow us to make choices as to whether or not we are paying for online or in person classes. (At the moment SDSU does allow you to petition dropping classes at the add/ drop deadline, but the decision is entirely at their discretion) 4). Reduce the price of tuition for online learning (Professors surely deserve to get paid, but why pay to maintain on campus amenities that we are not even using?) At the very least I hope we can put enough pressure on SDSU to 5). Actually open after the '2 week' online period. Together let's try and prevent another indefinitely long semester of online learning.
