Address the hazardous conditions on Kaggadasapura Main Road
The Issue
I am a resident of the Kaggadasapura area in Bengaluru, a vibrant community that many families, including my own, call home. Every day, children, including my son, must walk to school via a bridge (Near BBMP Office Ward No 81) that has become dangerous due to the presence of large concrete pipes and accumulated garbage. The footpath, meant to ensure their safe passage, is littered with debris and strewn with obstacles, making it not only unsightly but a significant risk to pedestrians.
On 28th August 2026, I registered two complaints with Sahaaya (complaints 21243145 and 21243141) accompanied by video evidence, urging immediate action. Yet, despite the urgency, these complaints have remained unattended, and the issues persist. The lack of response from authorities is troubling and leaves our community grappling with not just inconvenience, but potential hazards every day.
The presence of large concrete pipes and heaps of garbage endangers everyone, particularly children, and their daily commute. These conditions not only represent a blight on our community but pose genuine health and safety risks.
We understand that infrastructural challenges exist across growing urban areas like ours. However, this should not mean compromising the safety and health of the community's residents. We call on the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to:
- Clear the large concrete pipes and debris from Kaggadasapura Main Road immediately.
- Ensure regular garbage collection services are implemented to prevent further accumulation.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs of sidewalks to ensure they are kept safe.
Addressing these issues promptly will not only enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood but also restore public confidence in the city's ability to manage civic issues effectively. We urge BBMP and relevant authorities to take the necessary actions to rectify this situation swiftly. Please join me in signing this petition to demand urgent intervention and improvement of the conditions on Kaggadasapura Main Road.
