1. I am a student of Class 9 in the CBSE Board for the 2026-27 session, and I'm writing to highlight several issues affecting students due to recent changes in the curriculum. While the syllabus design by the CBSE Board, in accordance with the NCF and NEP 2020 rules, aims to be more practical and competency-based, there are severe challenges that need immediate attention from educational authorities.

One of the primary concerns is the late release of NCERT books. Recently, our Mathematics book, "Ganita Manjari - 2," was introduced, but it is fraught with numerous errors and inconsistencies. It does not align well with the prescribed CBSE syllabus, making it difficult for students to continue their studies effectively. The delay and subsequent inadequacy of these books create unnecessary confusion and anxiety among students and parents alike, as they are unsure whether to purchase materials that might not serve their educational needs effectively.

Furthermore, the implementation of the Third Language Policy has added more pressure on students. We are required to study a third language, such as Sanskrit, which is now compulsory. This results in an increased workload and stress for students who are already grappling with a demanding syllabus. More flexibility in choosing a third language or, better yet, an optional approach could benefit the student's well-being and academic performance.

In addition, the introduction of the "Kaushal Vikas" and "Kaushal Bodh" programs aimed at skill education and development has also added more burden and stress. The current approach demands students to sit for examinations, develop portfolios, and undertake project work, further intensifying academic pressure.These subjects had no need to be added.These decisions are impractical.These additions, though well-intentioned under the NEP 2020, require better scheduling and implementation to truly integrate skills education without overwhelming the student's existing curriculum obligations.We the students of Class 9 of session 2026-27 are experiment rats. We have lots of tension,burden, stress , anxiety. It seems to difficult to become topper and to do a comeback.We have get very less to complete the syllabus so in such less time understanding the concepts is more difficult in schools. This is worse than child labour. If we don't get good grades then our parents would scold us or possibly beat us for not getting good marks.

To address these issues, we urge the CBSE Board to:

1. Ensure that NCERT releases textbooks well in advance of the academic year commencement, free from errors, and aligned correctly with the curriculum.

2. Remove 3rd language policy.

3. Remove Kaushal Vikas and Kaushal Bodh from curriculum.

4. We request CBSE to release the syllabus of class 10 by February 2027 and NCERT to release books by March 2027 and give updates so that the same difficulties would not be faced as the we reach class 10 as it is an important board year .

By addressing these concerns through the changes mentioned, the CBSE Board can foster a better learning environment for its students, promoting not just academic excellence, but also overall well-being.
