The Issue

I learned about VR before Planet Coaster 2 even released; back then I was mostly a Minecraft-only player. A few months later, I tried Planet Coaster 2 at someone else’s house and realized I like other games too. That first session made something click: this is a game that belongs in VR.

So I went looking for PCVR support. Nothing. I found a few posts asking about it, but no real movement. That’s why I started this petition; to show Frontier there’s genuine demand.

Why Planet Coaster 2 is a perfect VR candidate

  • Made for presence: Walking your own paths, queue lines, and plazas at life-size scale is exactly what VR is great at. On-ride perspectives would feel like real coasters, not just camera views.
  • Creative showcase: VR would let builders experience sightlines, theming, and layout flow as guests do—huge for design decisions and inspiration.
  • Modular scope: Frontier could start with a VR Park Viewer (walk/ride/explore) before tackling full editing in VR. That lowers complexity and performance risk while still delivering what most players want first.

Common concerns (and realistic answers)

“It won’t run well.”

  • VR can be optional and scalable: adjustable guest density, LOD, simplified shadows/reflections, dynamic resolution, and foveated rendering where available. A Viewer mode (walking/riding only) is lighter than full editing, making a solid first step.

“Frontier would never do it.”

  • Studios respond to clear interest. Petitions aren’t magic, but numbers matter—especially when the request is scoped (start with a Viewer) and technically reasonable. If we hit 1,000 signatures, I believe Frontier will at least consider it.

If you want to experience your park the way your guests do—and ride what you build—please sign. You don’t have to, but if this excites you even a little, adding your name helps turn “maybe someday” into a real conversation.
