To Crystal Dynamics, Amazon Game Studios, Embracer Group, Flying Wild Hog, and all parties involved in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis,

We write to you as representatives of a passionate and long-standing segment of the Tomb Raider community.

Our petition requesting the inclusion of full dubbing in Spanish (Spain), along with other languages previously supported in the franchise, has now surpassed 15,000 signatures. This milestone represents not just a number, but a collective and organized voice — respectful, committed, and deeply invested in the legacy of this series.

For more than 25 years, Spanish (Spain) dubbing has been part of Tomb Raider’s identity in our country. Since Tomb Raider III (1998), players in Spain have experienced Lara Croft’s adventures fully localized, with professional voice performances that became inseparable from the character herself. The absence of this tradition in Legacy of Atlantis represents, for many of us, a significant break with the saga’s history.

Spain has historically been one of the strongest European markets for the Tomb Raider franchise, and full localization has always contributed to that success. The removal of previously supported dubbing sets a concerning precedent for future releases.

At the same time, we stand in solidarity and support with the Italian, Polish, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, and Korean communities. In each of these countries, dedicated fans have rallied around the petition, generating local support, media coverage, and online discussions. Historically, these languages also received full dubbing, localization, and/or subtitles in previous Tomb Raider titles, making their exclusion in Legacy of Atlantis a disappointment for players worldwide. The international response demonstrates that this is a global movement, with communities across continents advocating for the same respect and treatment of their languages.

This movement has grown far beyond a petition page. It has generated dozens upon dozens of media articles, extensive international coverage, and strong backing from content creators who have produced numerous videos, analyses, and discussions in support of this cause.

Most notably, PASAVE (Plataforma de Asociaciones y Sindicatos de Artistas de Voz de España) — a Spanish platform representing voice actors and industry professionals — has released a historic video in support of the campaign, bringing together four iconic Spanish voice actresses of Lara Croft — Charo Soria, Ana Jiménez, Nuria Mediavilla, and Danai Querol — united to defend the cause. This marked the first time in years that they have performed as Lara again, making this collaboration a remarkable and symbolic moment within the Spanish voice acting community.

This is not a hostile campaign. It is not driven by negativity. It is driven by respect — for the franchise, for its legacy, and for the professionals who have contributed to it over decades.

We respectfully ask you to reconsider the decision regarding localization for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Restoring Spanish (Spain) dubbing — alongside the other previously supported languages — would not only preserve tradition, but reaffirm your commitment to a truly global audience.

15,000 signatures are not simply clicks. They represent loyalty built over decades. Once again, we would greatly appreciate your consideration and look forward to working together to honor the legacy of Tomb Raider, and respectfully await your reply.

Tomb Raider has always been a global franchise. We simply ask to remain part of that legacy.

Sincerely,
Alejandro Cambronero Albaladejo, on behalf of Tomb Raider fans and voice acting professionals
