We’ve just passed 500 signatures, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the campaign so far.
It’s been incredibly encouraging to see the skateboarding community — and many people beyond it — supporting the idea of reviewing skateboarding as an option within GCSE Physical Education in England.
We’re also grateful to the skateparks who have already reached out to say they support the initiative, including:
- Graystone Action Sports
- Baysixty6
- The Lodge
- The Skate Club
- Skate Farm
- School of Skate
- Source Park
- Pitt St Skatepark
- Shredenhams
- Campus Skateparks
Seeing skateparks across the country get behind this conversation really shows how much passion there is for skateboarding and youth participation.
If you run a skatepark or skate school and would like to be included in the supporters list, we’d love to hear from you.
The next step: schools
The next stage of the campaign is to start reaching out to schools and PE departments.
Teachers and schools will play an important role in this conversation, and we’d love to hear from any schools interested in learning more about the idea of skateboarding as a GCSE PE option.
If you support this campaign, please consider tagging your local school or sharing the petition with them so we can start that dialogue.
Thank you again for helping move this forward.
Our next milestone is 1,000 signatures, and every share helps us get closer.
More updates soon.
