Sexualization of Minors has become a noticeable problem on Quora, though the platform - which has a zero-tolerance policy in this area - is working to address it.

The problems are coming from three primary sources:

• People creating content that features graphic content involving when they were a minor, written often like erotica, in a way that seems to be seeking to gratify others sexually.
• People asking questions obviously intended to solicit sexual content involving minors.
• And minors themselves. They are posting sexualized images of themselves, even nude photos, dick pics, underwear photos, etc as they look for attention. They are also looking for people to trade nudes with - obviously, lots of legal implications here.

Currently, if a user wants to report something for sexualizing minors, they can choose "Adult Content" (if it's available) and if all works as intended, the report will get acted on and - if warranted - reported to the authorities when it gets reviewed. From the perspective of many users, the current report options aren't sufficient. "Child Exploitation" only appears in Spaces already flagged as adult. "Harassment" and "Adult Content" are too vague and lead to the content only being collapsed, or taking far too long to get removed. Questions don't currently have a report option for adult content at all - they simply get flagged that way if an appropriate topic is attached to the question.

What users have been begging for for a while is a proper child-focused report option. Thus, this petition is requesting that Quora add, anywhere that something can be reported, an option to the list that says "Sexualization of Minors", or something similar.

Along with this, processing these reports should take priority over other report types, content that is found to sexualize minors should be removed rather than collapsed or flagged, and any users showing that this is their focus or even something they do frequently should be summarily banned from the site.

With the above measures, Quora can become a safer place for teens, and we can make it clear to sexual predators more quickly that they are not welcome on Quora.
