On Archive of Our Own (Ao3), a well-known website for writing and sharing fanfiction, certain topics such as major character death and rape have special "Archive Warnings" that you can put on the story, which are shown in bold in the list of tags and serve as a warning to people who may be triggered by this.

Suicide and self-harm do not have an Archive Warning despite being an incredibly serious topic and one that may trigger many people, and I feel it would be in the best interest of the community at large to add a warning for it for the safety of fic readers.
