Persian (Farsi) is one of the world’s oldest and most influential languages, spoken by over 100 million people across Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and the Persian-speaking diaspora worldwide. It carries a rich literary, cultural, and historical legacy — from the poetry of Rumi and Hafez to its influence on many neighboring languages.

Despite its importance, Duolingo still doesn’t offer a Persian course. Meanwhile, the platform includes many languages with far fewer speakers or learners. This absence has left millions of people unable to learn Persian through one of the most popular and accessible language-learning tools in the world.

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask Duolingo to add a Persian (Farsi) course to its platform. By doing so, Duolingo would not only support a large and passionate community of learners but also promote linguistic diversity and cross-cultural understanding.
