Thank you for your email. I have spoken directly with Cheryl about her petition and thanked her for creating it.

I am unequivocally in favor of having safe and secure drop boxes for mail-in ballots across the county. I’ve spoken at our public meetings and I provided a quote for use in Ms. Glenn’s letters to the editor.

I would encourage signers to share this petition with 3-5 known registered voters in the county.

My colleagues are not in favor of this initiative, but I believe members of their own party (based on their increasing vote by mail numbers in the county) would support greater access that is safe and secure.
