Original Description of Petition: Petition EA to add mobility aids to The Sims 4. I hope to get EA to add these in-game items in a free pack or an update. According to disabled-world.com Mobility Device Statistics: United States 2018-09-28 - "Just over 6.8 million community-resident Americans use assistive devices to help them with mobility. This group comprises 1.7 million wheelchair or scooter riders and 6.1 million users of other mobility devices, such as canes, crutches, and walkers." People with disabilities must be recognized and represented. Canes were introduced for elders in The Sims 3 Generations expansion.

Wheelchairs and other mobility devices have never been utilized in any installment in The Sims franchise through its lucrative 20-plus-year run. Many people grew up playing The Sims games which are still popular with kids. By introducing these items in The Sims 4, children and teenagers who have no experience with disabled people could potentially understand more about disabilities and become more knowledgeable about them.

"Why not just make a mod?" If someone were to make a mod that adds these things to the game that would be great! However, because of how The Sims team has taken steps to be more inclusive with The Sims 4, I believe it would only be right for them to add disabled sims along with any mobility aids, officially to The Sims 4. Thank you for reading!
