Lights will allow skating later, be safer, and be more visible. Many of the local skateparks have lights - Vista Skatepark, Alga Norte Skatepark - and Oceanside should too. Oceanside skateparks are a destination for skaters around the world  and bring tourism money to the local economy. Local businesses will benefit from the lights with additional sales of food and beverages in areas around the parks.
