In light of the recent strain on our healthcare system due to Covid-19. Healthcare providers including nurses, doctors, pharmacists have been placed in extremely stressful work environments sometimes with the lack of personal protective equipment and other resources to take care of those who are ill. 

Unfortunately, due to the long hours (12-13 hour shifts) that are now required of us, many of my colleagues are unable to find the time to shop for food or other household supplies just because of their profound dedication to their work. There has also been reported incidents of healthcare workers being harassed (while in scrubs) when they go shopping. Incidents like these are detrimental to the morale of those caring others loved ones in this time when we all should be focused on one "enemy".

Food and adequate nutrition are essential to the well being of those who are caring for the sick. This can also alleviate stress and makes sure healthcare providers immune systems are not compromised at this time when they are needed most.

I am therefore petitioning major grocers in this country to provide 1 hour ! 3 times a week to allow healthcare providers to provide for themselves and in turn provide adequate care.
