Add county lines to Google Maps & Google Earth

Add county lines to Google Maps & Google Earth
The Issue
*DISCLAIMER*: For simplicity, Google Maps & Google Earth will be referred to as Google Maps in the description below, which people are a lot more familiar with than Google Earth. This Petition is for both Google Maps & Google Earth to show county lines.
Almost everyone has opened Google Maps before, and it is a fantastic tool for navigating our world. However, there is a glaring omission in its offerings: Google Maps does not display county lines. This is a necessary feature that could significantly enhance the user experience on this invaluable platform.
Google Maps has made remarkable achievements in mapping technology. They invented Street View & Real-time data. They have included state or provincial boundaries, as well as country borders, which are incredibly helpful for users who rely on these details for travel, work, or leisure. However, for those of us who need to understand county boundaries for various reasons—be it local logistics, planning, or understanding our surrounding communities—we are left wanting.
Currently, Google Maps requires users to manually click on a county, which only highlights one county at a time, surrounded by a vast, undefined area. This limitation is neither practical nor user-friendly, hindering users' ability to effectively understand their geographical context.
Counties are critical administrative areas for many government functions, including law enforcement, legal jurisdictions, and local governance. Having these boundaries easily viewable on Google Maps would support countless users in their daily lives, from developers and planners to educators and tourists. It's time for Google Maps to incorporate this essential feature.
By signing this petition, you are urging Google to implement county lines on its maps. Let's enhance the user experience on Google Maps for everyone—sign and share this petition today!
