The Yahk Allied Horse Club is petitioning for community support to add an Outdoor Riding Arena to the far south end of the current ball field on the Yahk-Kingsgate Recreation Society (YKRS) property. This project would be fully funded and maintained by the Yahk Allied Horse Club, a registered non-profit society.

This location will allow a large area of play field to remain for other outdoor activities such as T-ball, soccer, games, dry camping during events, fireworks displays, and further community use.

Having a local arena in Yahk will encourage active use of the YKRS grounds, provide income and fundraising opportunities for YKRS, bring in visitors who in turn support all local businesses, provide entertainment and educational opportunities for community members, and help keep equestrian activities alive and well in our own back yard (majority of local horse owners travel out of town for arena access).
