We, the undersigned, call upon the Unicode Consortium and all major digital platforms — including Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Meta — to create and include an official emoji representing the Mandaean religion (الديانة المندائية).

The Mandaean faith is one of the world’s oldest and most peaceful religions, with roots tracing back thousands of years to ancient Mesopotamia. Our community follows the sacred teachings of John the Baptist (Prophet Yahya, peace and blessings upon him) — the last prophet in our belief.

Despite our deep history, rich spiritual tradition, and ongoing global presence, the Mandaean religion remains unrepresented among the emojis that people use daily to express identity, culture, and faith.

🕊️ We ask for inclusion. We ask for recognition.

We ask for the “Darfash” (الدرفش) — our sacred symbol of light, purity, and peace — to be added as the official emoji of the Mandaean religion.

The Darfash is more than just a design. It symbolizes:
 • The truth and purity of faith.
 • The connection between humanity and the divine.
 • The hope and light that guide our community through generations.

By adding this emoji, Unicode and all digital platforms would be taking a historic step to:
✅ Celebrate diversity and inclusion among world religions.
✅ Recognize the Mandaean community worldwide.
✅ Promote digital equality and representation for all.

We invite everyone — Mandaeans and supporters of cultural diversity — to stand with us and sign this petition. Together, we can make sure that every faith, including ours, is seen and respected in the digital world.

نحن نطلب الاعتراف، ونطلب التمثيل.

نطلب رمز الدرفش (الدرفش) — الرمز المقدس للنور والطهارة والسلام — ليكون الرمز التعبيري الرسمي للديانة المندائية.

رمز الدرفش ليس مجرد شكل، بل هو:
 • رمز للحق والطهارة والإيمان.
 • صلة بين الإنسان والخالق.
 • رمز للنور والأمل الذي يضيء طريقنا منذ آلاف السنين.

إن إدراج هذا الرمز سيكون خطوة عظيمة نحو:
