Dear Subscribers of the Space 18th SDG Petition,
In 2024 several important sessions will take place at COPUOS (the U.N. Committee For the Peaceful Use of Outer Space) in Vienna.
We will participate in those meetings, promoting our proposal of the Space 18th SDG, and working to win some State Parties to adopt this proposal and present it to the U.N. General Assembly for approval.
Some thousand signatures on our Petition will be a meaningful support to our work at UN COPUOS!
Where are we now? We have 383 signatures collected with Change.org (414 including the signatures collected on our website), and first of all thank you so much all of you, for signing and supporting this campaign!
Almost 70 organizations -- including space advocacy, universities, commercial entities -- joined the Space 18th SDG Coalition, and we are working to bring more entities onboard!
The next goal is 500 signatures: reaching such threshold our campaign will be better positioned, in the Change.org score, and will get better exposition and invitation to sign.
What are we asking:
1) to spread the word, forwarding the invitation to sign to your friends and colleagues, on your social network channels
2) possibly to subscribe some money on Change.org, to boost the promotion of this campaign
3) join your organization (if any) to the Space 18th SDG Co-promoters Coalition
In case you also aim to support the Space Renaissance International (SRI) effort, travels to Vienna and other U.N. meaningful meetings, you are welcome to donate some money (select Space 18th SDG in the Destination)
