Our campaign is growing each day! We reached about 200 signatures so far, including both signatures of the petition on Change.org and the ones collected on the promoter website.

The 5th of June the proposal for an 18th SDG was presented at the COPUOS 66th session in Vienna, by Karlton Johnson (National Space Society USA), on behalf of the coalition, now counting 41 organizations!

The 15 of September Space Renaissance International will hold a session at United Nations General Assembly 78, at U.N. premises in New York City, in which all of the co-promoters will be speaking, including Frank White (the author of the Overview Effect), Rick Tumlinson, Bob Zubrin (founder of The Mars Society), Anita Gale (CEO of the NSS), Steven Wolfe (founder of the Beyond Earth Institute), and many others. The session will be livestreamed on YouTube, to be followed by as many people as possible!

What could we do now, to support the campaign, and widen the audience? A few simple things:

1) keep on sharing this petition to as many contacts in our range as possible

2) join your entity -- whatever type, e.g. advocacy, education, research -- to the co-promoters alliance 

3) stay in touch, to receive our newsletters and updates on the #space18sdg campaign and related initiatives
