I’m 13 years old and have been going to Paradise Cove at C.B. Smith Park since I was a little kid. It’s always been my home water park — the place I’ve spent summer weekends, birthdays, and countless hot days with my family. But in all that time, the park hasn’t added anything new in 11 years. It still has the same four slides, a lazy river, and the kids' areas. For people like me who have been going for years, it’s starting to feel like nothing ever changes, and there’s nothing exciting to look forward to.

That’s why I’m asking for something new — even just one ride. A compact water coaster, a raft slide, or a mat racing slide would bring life back to the park and give people a reason to return. A lot of parks across Florida are adding new slides and attractions, but Paradise Cove hasn’t had a big update in over 10 years. Teens and families would love something fresh and fun, especially something that doesn’t take up a lot of space. A new slide doesn’t have to be huge — it just has to be new. And right now, I think that could make a big difference.

I already emailed the park to suggest this, but I’m just one person. This petition is to show that I’m not the only one who wants to see Paradise Cove grow. If you’ve ever been to the park and wished there was something more, or if you believe in improving community spaces for future generations, please sign. Let’s show Broward County that people still care about this park — and we want it to be the best it can be.
