ADD A CALL OF DUTY WARZONE ONLINE SERVER FOR HAWAII PLAYERS!
The Issue
HAWAII players have always been the backseat bench warmer for any online competitive game that doesn’t have a server located within our region. But this is specifically for Activision and their lack of a server for all Oceania players that play Call of Duty.
As we have paid for a game ranging between $50-$110 dollars to be able to have the same experience as other players around the world, especially within the U.S., Activision has not promised us that.
Thousands of passionate gamers play out of the Hawaii state and play hours on end to become better at the game, sometimes I feel we need to put in MORE hours of practice because of how much more faster we would need to keep up with other players in the US.
The point I am trying to make is the latency/ping discrepancy that HAWAII/Oceania players have to deal with due to the fact we do not have a dedicated server for our region. Forcing us to connect to other servers thousands of miles away from us, reaching all the way to que into east coast servers. Our latency could rise up to 140ms and maybe 58ms on a good day and we get lucky to land on a west coast server.
How is it fair for a player from Hawaii to experience a 140 ping delay in which all of our movement and shots register much more slower in-game time when you have another player within the mainland US playing with a mere 15-20 ping delay? The answer is, ITS NOT.
Gamers who live in the Oceania region deserve to have more inclusion when it comes to having the same gaming experience that majority of players around the world already have.
I feel it would be a win win on both the players and activision themselves. A server for Hawaii would create a TREMENDOUS IMPROVEMENT on an online gaming experience for this current Call of Duty title and for future titles. A better experience would have players more incentive to keep buying future call of duty installments and more in game cosmetics that is sold within the game.
