I regret this plea to return, your support and your comments appear to have so far been ignored by the club. There has so far been no interest in resolving this matter over an 8 year period. The club was told by dogs victoria last year that they must mediate, it appears that they refuse to do so. I was told by the former club president several years ago that i was "not important" despite giving 15 years service to this club. Rather than taking time to listen, discuss and resolve this issue, he told me they hoped this problem would just "go away". The result has been my continued isolation from former friendships and this sport. This has affected me very badly. It is my right to report any poor behaviour which impacts on my enjoyment of the sport. I sought advice, at the time, from the victorian equal opportunity and human rights commission. I was infact advised to do this. I regret i was never heard. I instead received emails from the person who i reported claiming a reply was "never deserved" and that other club.members are "laughing at me". This is clearly not acceptable. My 80 year old parents have recently attended the club and have attempted to discuss this matter with the current club president. They themselves were accused of stalking. My parents were told some disturbing information by the current club president which is simply not correct. I have since written a letter to the club. I have recently received a response denying acceptance of my membership. Once again no reason was stated. I still am hoping for a positive solution so i am able to train my dogs following a very unfortunate 8 year absence. It is in the clubs constitution that two parties have to be consulted following the lodgement of any complaint. I lodged a complaint, i have never been consulted or heard which is a basic right of every member. I thank other people for their continued support in relation to this issue. I will not give up or "go away". My dogs and i happen to be as important as every other club member. This has to be respected. Consultation simply has to occur. Change.org is now advising me "the decision maker isnt available". It appears any communication in relation to this matter is no longer being received by the club president, andrew macdonald.
