As we were unable to get a plaintiff (needed either Bolton's or Hunt Club HOA to agree), we were unable to move forward with litigation. And doing so would have risked having our case being dismissed, and wasting donor monies. The litigation process could have easily cost upwards of 10 k to get past circuit court, and even more (50-75 k for appeals and state supreme court), and I personally do not have the funds to cover that.

I greatly appreciate the donations and efforts from each of you. It is incredibly frustrating that our elected officials can make these decisions which clearly violate the law of the General Assembly. I have contacted the Attorney General's office but have no idea that it will make a difference. If enough of us file a complaint and let the office know this is a case of illegality, perhaps we will receive a response. I tried 3 times with no response. But please try! http://www.scag.gov/contact-us Tell them you want our elected officials to be held accountable to the law of the General Assembly. The definition of a planned development is for mixed-use purposes, and this is single-use. The law is not ambiguous.

So for now, we will be looking at this digital blight that will ruin the character of Bees Ferry Road and potentially affect our property values. Our only recourse is to perhaps reach out and let our elected officials know how disappointed we are in their decision. They know the decision was illegal.
