Again, thanks to all for your support. A neighbor met with Sen. Sandy Senn today and basically the takeaway is this:
1: We need as many people to show up at the Public Hearing as possible. You will have 2 min to speak. Or just show up to support the opposition
2: Annoy the heck out of Charleston County council. Phone calls, texts, emails. And if you can’t show in person, you can at least still be heard! (843)958-4030
Kristen Salisbury is Clerk of Council:

and Vic Rawl is district 06 Council (for West Ashley Residents):

I plan to speak with Harve Jacobs Live 5 tomorrow and there was another news story on News 4 (see link).
Should you decide to attend and need some speaking points:
Alters the residential area
Aesthetically unappealing
if we allow one billboard, what's to stop many from coming
unlike other commercial activity (grocery store, restaurants) this brings NO BENEFIT to the community; it only serves the owner
Bees Ferry used to be part of "rural West Ashley;" Now it will be Savannah Highway Jr.
Potentially distracting
Potentially lowers our home values
And finally, we need to speak against all this industrialization or Bees Ferry will look like this one day (pic below)
