Saraya here, behind the @justiceforelijahmcclain Instagram handle. I’m honored to come on board to help manage this campaign. I’ve been working closely with Elijah’s mother to keep people updated through Instagram on how they can demand justice for Elijah – and now I’ll be updating you all as well. 

Yesterday Elijah’s family announced that they are suing the officers and paramedics involved in his death. Just hours later, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser announced an investigation into the Aurora Police Department.

This is huge. The Aurora Police Department has been terrorizing Black families for far too long. But investigations can take time, and lawsuits can take even longer. 

We want justice for Elijah NOW. We don’t want to see Elijah’s family dragged through a multi-year lawsuit just to see the men who murdered their son held accountable. 

Demand that Aurora take action immediately by sending a post card to decision-makers, demanding justice that Elijah’s killers be fired and charged. Almost 8,000 cards have gone out so far, help us reach 10,000!
