Please consider a No Kill shelter for Adams County, Indiana
The Issue
Adams County, Indiana needs a no kill shelter for Adams County residents. Residents need a place to take owner surrenders. They need a facility that incorporates the following programs and policies:
Volunteers, TNR, foster families, rescue groups, comprehensive adoption programs, medical and behavior programs, public relations/ community development programs, proactive redemptions, pet retention programs, fundraisers, donations, sponsors and access to high volume/ low cost spay/neuter programs and guardian, pet ownership assistance when necessary with a compassionate director.
Over 4 million innocent animals - abused, lost, stray, stolen, injured etc. - get euthanized each year due to lack of funds and space in shelters. The negative connotation that "shelter pets" are not as good as full bred pets leaves these animals with no hope of finding homes. You can help the animals who cannot help themselves!
No Kill is:
-95% Minimum Adoption Rate
-Public Health and Safety as vicious dogs are not adopted out
-Fiscal Responsibility to Taxpayers
-Improved Public Satisfaction with Government
