Help bring blaze home "the story of blaze"

The Issue

Blaze's story : Blaze came to us at around a year old. He will be four years old in March .He loves nothing more then to play fetch with his fur baby brothers and sister or with his human children or even to cuddle up under a blanket and lay under his Humans feet. He is very smart . On September 27 Blazes family decided to go to a picnic . We usually take one dog at a time to outings , let's face it four pits can be very intesting with a crowd. Our family proceed to leave with the children and one dog out the back door. As we were walking down the alley way the other three dogs come running . They had broken a window . One was caught and one on a leash so Blaze and one other dog were out running . We started to contact anyone who could help spca the non emergency 911 line anyone we could think of. As hours passed our family reached out to odaat . Before odaat could respond our family revived a call that the dogs were found but they were sure one was hit. At this point odaat was in touch and she recommended taking Blaze to her vetbecause they could help with costs. Odaat sat up the appointment for the following day . We took Blaze to the appointment . At the appointment the nightmare began . First the vet said he couldn't help but after speaking with the president of odaat he agreed to help . Both the vet and odaat knew the financial situation but they insisted they could help any how . This is when odaat told us that the vet would only preform the surgery if they surrendered Blaze with the agreement Blaze would return home after he was healed. This was so the vet was protected and could write off the cost of the surgery. At this time we weighed out the choices ...finally leaving Blaze with the vet and signing Blaze over trusting he would be returned ...this is a rescue , rescues are suppose to help . It was what would help Blaze . At first things went well. There was a chance of amputation but the vet assured he would do everything he could to save Blaze 's leg . Four days later he called to say he had done surgery on Blazes leg .this surgery was to put pins and rods in to hold the leg in place. At one point the vet told us the leg was infected. So he would now need antibiotics. The family went to visit and called . The vet said the calls and visits were to frequent . We would then only call once only a week and visit once a week some times every two weeks . There was a point that we went three weeks with out visiting . At the beginning of November I went to see Blaze .This is when I realized Blaze was very thin . I tried to discuss my concerns with the vet .He became very agitated and defensive.at that point I walked away I walked away and came back things were discussed and seemed fine. I called odaat after leaving the visit . I suggested doing therapy with Our family vet or transporting Blaze to the vet Odaat and the vet would not agree. This is also when they stopped the visits . A few weeks went by calls and text got further apart . The next time we spoke with odaat she said at the end of the week there was a good chance amputation would be done then we didn't hear anything back. The responses we got was either nothing or I have not talked to the Dr . At this point we were no longer allowed to contact the vet. At one point we were told Blaze would be fostered near the vet so he could receive treatment . We were confused becused we offered to take Blaze home and transport or get our vet at home to take over treatment both were refused what choice did We have . The last conversation that I had with odaat I asked if Blaze was coming home . ODAAT did not hesitate to say no . One of the reasonings for not returning Blaze was because he had got out of the yard a few times. I had a harassment issue with a neighbor which went to court. The neighbor was letting the dogs out of the yard. Since Blazes accident precautions have been taken and the three others have not got out of the yard . She has come up with excuse after excuse When she tells reasoning the owners provide proof to prove the stated facts false she got more agitated and stated she would not discuss this matter. At one point she brought up vet bills .The reasoning for surrender was so the surgery could be preformed with no cost at the agreement we would be returned when it was over. Also a family member made a $300 payment to the vet . A $40 donation was made to us which was used to go see Blaze being he was about a hour and a half away from home At this time odaat will not answer calls ,messages, or text. We have been blocked all together. At this point we do not know Blazes where abouts. All we want is our fur baby home . BLAZE DESERVES TO BE WITH HIS FAMILY WHO LOVE'S HIM . PLEASE HELP US BRING HIM HOME
