Continue Supporting Heroes of the Storm

Continue Supporting Heroes of the Storm
The Issue
On December 13, 2018, Bliizzard announced to remove most of the developers from Heroes of the Storm and cancel the Heroes Global Championship and Heroes of the Dorm tournaments. Because of this at least 192 people will loose their job, including 160 pro players employed by Blizzard (information found on Wikipedia.org).
Not only this, but there is a substantial non-competitive player base that has put hours (and money) into supporting a game that they enjoy. It is easy to pick up for newcomers and has the depth required to sustain long-term gameplay, and by cutting the resources allocated to this game, people have fears that it is now a dying game (despite shallow reassurances that is not the case).
As someone who has purchased heroes, stimpacks, cosmetic items, and invested many hours in the game, it is frustrating to see such a drastic move from Activision Blizzard. For those who have spent more time and more money, and for those directly employed because of this game, I can imagine "frustration" is an understatement.
If it is a financial reason, then I request more transparency from the company. If it isn't, then the same applies; tell us how you will continue to support players in the coming years (long term, not short term). What many fans (myself included) are looking for is a reason to keep supporting (financially and otherwise) a game that its parent company doesn't seem to.
I (and, presumably, We) don't want this excellent game to fail.
Thank you.
