The Issue

For the launch of Lost Ark, an exploit existed where founders packs and Twitch drops could be duplicated infinitely. This means a small minority of players have spent hours taking advantage, and instead of receiving the 1 platinum founders pack they paid for, they have received 10+. The items within the pack can be traded with other players on the auction house, meaning this has a negative long-term effect on the economy. This also massively devalues the pack that many have spent $100 on. Your $100 spent is not equal to exploiters' $100 spent.

The Response

"For those that are fearing action taken against their accounts, we are aware that this is a bug and will not be punishing those who who were affected." Amazon has responded they will not be taking action against the exploiters, effectively encouraging the community to maximize any exploit ever identified in the future. This is not the correct approach for an MMO; exploiters need to be dealt with efficiently.

Either action needs to be taken against the offending parties, or Amazon needs to distribute compensation for all other players.
