Every year, fake medicines lead to 100,000 deaths in Africa according to World Health Organization (WHO). It is estimated that in some countries, up to 70% of medicines are fake.

People are dying every day and up to now, not enough efforts have been made to stop this phenomenon. We want the situation to stop!!! If each one of us raise our voice, sign and share this petition, altogether we can create a visible impact. Every single signature counts! When we reach 10,000 signatures, letters of petitions will be sent to local offices of pharmaceutical companies e.g Pfizer, Novartis, Merck etc. Letters of petitions will also be sent to local health ministries and officers and relevant NGOs. Pharmaceutical companies, local health ministries and NGOs must be aware of the seriousness of this problem and take stronger actions towards counterfeiting medicines.
