Act Now to Protect Abused Horses and Donkey on Urbanisation Plot

Act Now to Protect Abused Horses and Donkey on Urbanisation Plot
The Issue
My neighbours and I are confronted daily with a heart-wrenching sight on our urbanisation - two horses and a recently added donkey confined to a fence plot that does not belong to the animals' owners. The plot is devoid of grass, the animals are never exercised, irregularly fed, and lack any form of shelter. The situation doesn't only concern us due to the cruelty inflicted upon these animals, but also the prospective health hazard as the weather gets warmer. The animal excrement will potentially introduce breeding grounds for flies and vermin, raising the risk of vector-borne illnesses.
Since the last quarter of last year, on 27th December to be precise, official complaints have been lodged, but no concrete action has been taken due to the owners' perceived status within society. The indifference and lack of intervention towards averting this suffering cause distress not only for me, a passionate animal lover, but also for the rest of my neighbours. My heart aches to see these stoic creatures surviving on the occasional offering of cabbage and inadequate water supplies, offering them little nourishment. Their plight intensifies as they have no shelter to protect them from weather extremities.
The owners' neglect escalates the risk of diseases, thereby endangering not only the neglected animals but also the surrounding fauna and human habitants. We have local rescues ready to secure the welfare of these animals, but bureaucracy and lack of immediate action continue to prolong the animals' suffering.
We implore the local authorities and animal rights organizations to take urgent action. We seek their intervention to not only rehouse these animals to safer, healthier environments but also bring the guilty to justice as a precedent. This would subsequently enforce stringent animal protection laws, thereby curbing such incidents of neglect and inhumane treatment in the future. Please sign this petition to help send a clear and urgent appeal to the relevant authorities to alleviate the suffering of these exploited animals. UPDATE - THE VET HAS CONFIRMED THEY ARE NOT MICRO-CHIPPED
