Our case started in Washington County, Oregon on 12/05/2017 my husband, who is a disabled army veteran due to his late stage cancer was healing from cancer surgery on his foot at this time lost his balance, slipped and fell down the stairs while holding our then 4 month old baby. We immediately rushed her to the ER to make sure she was okay. We were informed that she suffered a broken arm and were transferred to OHSU Doernbecher children's hospital for "further testing" that is when the child abuse pediatrician Dr Tamara Grigsby stepped in and immediately made the egregious diagnosis of child abuse without conducting any further testing or investigation. After researching this doctor and the organization she works for (CARES NW) I found that she has wrongfully accused other families with children who have bone disorders with abuse too!

Due to this doctors false allegations we lost custody of our children for 11 months (our CPS case was eventually dismissed by Judge Rini even with the objection of CPS!) & my husband was criminally charged with 8 felony child abuse charges despite the fact that our baby was diagnosed with bone fragility and despite the fact that he is TERMINALLY ill! The state has placed a no contact order since late May 2018 and have refused to acknowledge our evidence that our child suffers from a lifelong bone disease that causes her bones to be weaker than the average child, she has continued to fracture even after the case began! None of that has been enough to change the child abuse pediatrician and district attorneys mind that our baby was NOT a victim of child abuse. The district attorney has tried endlessly to coerce me into agreeing to their allegations- she has called me aggressive, hostile and has even blamed me for her tires being slashed and accused me of "violating criminal laws" all of which is untrue. Due to the recent GAG ORDER the state placed on our case we are only able to share very limited information on all of the lies the district attorneys and doctors involved have submitted to the court.

We are extremely grateful for all of the support we have gotten throughout this time and thank God that my husband is still here and fighting not only for his life but against these wrongful criminal charges.
