Due to 3 resident complaints of noise to Hyndburn Council in May the council have waited until now to issue a noise abatement order on the club. So all LIVE music events at the superb & best venue in Hyndburn  “ Coleys” have to be cancelled some at short notice. Leading to the club having to refund tickets & pay out cancellation fees to the acts that were booked. Being a small club the community is important & our Chairman Mr Andy Holt has invested millions into the infrastructure to make the club sustainable but the council seem to enjoy pulling the rug out. No thought has been given to the staff who would have worked these events and now face loss of earnings in these bad times.

The venue is used “free of charge” for oap groups to get together, kids boxing clubs ( complaints were submitted about this also without them getting the facts).

The club brings in thousands of pounds in each year for local businesses, pubs, chippys, shops & transport. It is an asset for Accrington also everybody has heard of them. We are famous for our history the Accrington Pals, Accrington “Nori” Brick and the club the that wouldn’t die. 

What I hope this petition does is possibly help to get the council to overturn their abatement order.
