Advice from Councillor and ePetition waiting to be verified.

After talking to a local Councillor we discussed ePetitions and future Cycle Trail plans. 

We have recently (05/05/26 18:33) submitted an ePetition to Sheffield City Council and are awaiting for approval.

On Sunday 3rd May 2026 we spoke with a local Councillor and they explained the limitations of a petition being on Change.org. 

They did state that a petition (ePetition) on the Officail SCC ePetition website that reaches at least 5,000 signatures reaches a important threshold, which means it must be brought to the next SCC meeting and be debated, with the next meeting being on June 24th 2026. 

Therefore we have submitted a petition as advised and once live, will share with you all the link and ask that you re-sign and share far and wide in the Sheffield area to reach 5,000 signatories.
