For those of us suffering from Trichomoniasis, life has become a series of challenges. Many have been battling this condition for years, with personal lives and dreams of having children put on hold due to the lack of effective treatments.

Trichomoniasis is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it affects an estimated 156 million people worldwide every year. Despite its prevalence, there is still no definitive cure or treatment that can guarantee full recovery.

The current treatment options are limited and often come with side effects that further complicate our lives. For now only 5 nitroimidazole drugs available to treat Trichomonas vaginalis but more than 10% of cases are resistant to this class of drugs. Trichomoniasis in man associated with prostatitis, low sperm motility,  prostate cancer. In females infection can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, poor birth outcomes and cervical cancer. More  than this even those people who do not yet have serious complications suffer every day from pain, burning, urethritis, cystitis which makes normal life impossible.

Now we are calling on health organizations and research institutions to accelerate their efforts in finding new, more effective treatments for Trichomoniasis.
