India, with its rich history and burgeoning potential, requires more attention to harness this potential and rise as a global leader. As of 2021, India stands as the world's fifth-largest economy by nominal GDP (International Monetary Fund, 2021) and it is home to 18% of the world's population (UN, 2021). However, the pace of development has not been consistent across sectors and regions, leading to disparities. Focusing on sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure, and technology can considerably accelerate India's overall development. It is necessary for the government to re-evaluate existing development models, engage in proactive policy-making, and invest much-needed funds into sectors that could benefit the populace the most. A joint effort is required from the government, private institutions and the society, to put India on the fast track to incredible growth and advancement.
