It is very important that Step parents do not engage their STEP children about their biological parent. It is not effective for the the step parent to disparage the biological parent because they are jealous and inferior.

It is not healthy for children of divorced parents to be put into the middle of adult issues. It is not OK when the other parent encourages the STEP parent to behave this way. It is certainly not healthy for Step parent to tell their step child, that they are indeed their "Real" parent and that the other "parent" is the fake parent, trying to incite fear into the child to poison the "a Parent/Child relationship for their own benefit and gain.

Children need to know they are loved and not manipulated. Children need to know they can trust the adults in their lives.. This is very important because the court systems are not magicians and can not always see that children's best interest are being met. It's important because we must end these children out into society to be productive citizens, and how can we do that IF their needs are not being met and they are being emotionally abused?

I would like to implore "anyone" you who feel that STEP parents need to be less involved when it comes to parenting a child that is not his or hers to STOP Interfering.

We are for the children!
