UPDATE: Today is May 31 2025 and I have been losing my faith trying to get help. I am a disabled veteran and I read articles all the time about people helping  others and changing their lives for the better while I continue to suffer the consequences of injustice. I rewrote this petition, so this is not the original version.  

In the winter of 2009, I hit a chain link fence in my own personal vehicle. A police officer was called to the scene, took my information and let me be on my way because no one was hurt and the fence was still intact. The owner of the fence did not press charges. Because the incident was reported by the officer, I needed to give DMV my insurance information. DMV rejected the insurance information without my knowledge because they believed I was in a rental car. One night a police cruiser behind me ran my plates at a stoplight and pulled me over. I was told my roommates car had expired tags and my license was suspended. I was arrested and I lost my job as a tire technician and I had just been thier a month. I took  DMV to court and they lied to cover up their mistake, blaming me stating, "the insurance information I gave them was  not for the rental car unfortunately.". The judge dismissed my case and DMV was not be held accountable because they also have immunity. 

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation also failed me. The counselor retaliated against me because I wanted someone who was more available and someone who knew more information about their job. The manager refused my request and for 3yrs the counselor manipulated documents and sabotaged my employment goals. I reported the incident to the following below and all they did was gaslight me.

Sept 2024 The Disability law center ignored evidence and sided with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation based on the counselors false written statements. 

Jan 2025 The EEOC transferred my complaint of retaliation and disability discrimination to the Alaska Human Rights Commission and they stated the complaint was out of their jurisdiction. 

Jan 2025 The Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation stated my complaint of retaliation and disability discrimination was a problematic issue.

Jan 2025 The Alaskan Ombudsman stated that the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation did not retaliate against her and the statements written about her character and alleged negative quoted statements the counselor stated I said, were errors and inaccuracies. The Ombudsman also voluntarily added a side investigation after days of telling me that some of my evidence would not be included,  on my mental health treatment based off of notes from the counselor and sided with the Division that my mental health treatment was inconsistent. I was on a  1 year waiting list for treatment and sought treatment with the Cohen Clinic while waiting. My mental health treatment had nothing to do with how the counselor treated me so I do not know how or why that was relevant. I told the counselor that someone was vandalizing my truck and the counselor acted as if she was confused and didn't understand me and wrote in the case note as if I was delusional and making it up. My partner saw the damage to my truck, her sister reported two men by my vehicle and a child ran his bike into my vehicle as well. My truck has visible damage all over from the vandalizing and they tried to make me feel like I was making up the offense to minimize thier wrong doings. My martial art teachers, Mr and Mrs Potts started to notice the damages. 

Jan 2025 I sent a written request to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for a formal hearing and the request was ignored.

I just wanted to work and  take care of my family now. I lost so much in income and once again I have to suck it up and just move on with the ptsd from the gaslighting, losing income and feeling like a failure.
