Happy Labor Day (current sign count 18, next goal 25)

Today is labor day.  It's a holiday celebrating laborers and the work force in general. I feel like abolishing the electoral college would bring the government closer to the work force since a laborer's vote in one state would become equal to a laborer's vote in another. Also there will be no chance of faithless electors taking a state's vote away to another candidate. The workers made a vote one way yet faithless electors could take it away. This topic does seem popular yet it doesn't seem to live up to the momentum of the other two petitions I started around the same time as this one. The other two has 92 and 168. I'm doing my best to share this but that isn't enough, so I encourage you all to share it as well.
