The Issue

I am a law-abiding citizen who enjoys shooting sports, but my enjoyment and safety are compromised by current regulations. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) prohibits me from purchasing or using suppressors on rifles and pistols. Suppressors can protect shooters from hearing damage, a significant concern in our community. Yet, these beneficial tools are out of reach due to ATF regulations.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution states that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." However, many feel this right has been eroded over time by agencies such as the ATF. It's time we take a stand for our constitutional rights.

In 2019 alone, there were approximately 393 million civilian-owned firearms in the United States (source: Small Arms Survey). This number represents both a testament to our country's strong tradition of gun ownership and an indication that current restrictions may not be serving their intended purpose.

We propose abolishing the ATF or at least reforming its restrictive policies regarding firearm accessories like suppressors. By doing so, we can restore full Second Amendment rights while still maintaining reasonable measures for public safety.

Please sign this petition if you believe in upholding our constitutional rights while also promoting responsible gun ownership.
