I dedicated months of rigorous preparation, sleepless nights, and personal sacrifices to give my best for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. This highly anticipated exam was crucial for my academic and professional future, and I entrusted the National Testing Agency (NTA) to handle it with integrity and professionalism. However, my aspirations were derailed by a series of failures within NTA's administration. This experience shattered not only my dreams but also the collective endeavors of thousands of students who expected a just and transparent examination process.

The UGC-NET exam is a gateway for countless individuals to advance their careers in academia and research. Despite its importance, the NTA's handling of this exam has frequently been marred by issues such as technical glitches during online tests, ambiguous question patterns, and delayed results. These irregularities inevitably diminish the credibility of the process and can adversely impact the future of aspiring academics. 

In 2026, the NTA faced criticism for a significant data breach, compromising the personal information of thousands of candidates. Repeated technical and administrative blunders like NEET 2026, RE-NEET 2026, NET JUNE 2026, RE-NET JUNE 2026, for namely, English, Commerce, and Sociology erode trust and raise questions about the NTA's capability and commitment to conducting such pivotal examinations with the necessary diligence and transparency. 

NTA initially dismissed concerns over massive question repetition and other irregularities like PAPER LEAKS by telling students to simply challenge individual questions, rather than addressing the larger integrity concerns. Even after widespread allegations of paper irregularities like PAPER LEAKS, NTA did not transparently address the suspected leak/compromise concerns, and only much later acknowledged serious flaws and cancelled the English, Commerce and Sociology papers.

Hence, the responsibility of conducting the UGC-NET should be shifted from the NTA to a dedicated higher-education examination body with a proven track record of transparency, accountability, and reliability. This body should implement robust digital infrastructure, ensure sensitive data protection, and establish clear communication channels to promptly address candidate concerns.

We appeal to the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission to critically evaluate the current system and prioritize the futures of countless students. Instituting a new dedicated body for UGC-NET will not only enhance the examination's integrity but also restore students' faith in the system that governs their educational and professional aspirations.
