Abolish "no phones in the bathroom" rule in schools

Abolish "no phones in the bathroom" rule in schools
The Issue
Students across the state are forced to leave their phones in their class before going to the bathroom. Completely cutting off contact from anyone for a few minutes.
In times like these, school shootings are more common than ever. This creates a potentially sticky situation if an active shooter were to enter the building. Not only that but if anything happens; injuries, medical emergencies, etc., it would be much harder to reach out for help.
If we work to abolish this small but very important rule, students may feel safer. Even if it's at the cost of being distracted for a couple extra minutes in the bathroom.
