Abolish Net Zero Due to Unreasonable Energy Prices

The Issue

Many families, including my own, are currently struggling with the soaring energy prices, particularly for gas and electricity, which have seen an unprecedented threefold increase. The root cause of these exorbitant prices can be attributed to the current Net Zero policy. The Net Zero policy, although well-intentioned, is neither practical nor affordable for the vast majority of the population. Sadly, prominent figures, such as Ed Mill, don't seem to grasp the true magnitude of this issue and the financial strain it imposes on ordinary families.

It's worth noting that energy poverty is a compelling issue that unavoidably impacts social welfare and health. According to the UK's Office for National Statistics, as of 2020, an estimated 13.4% of households were in fuel poverty. This figure translates to roughly 3.18 million homes struggling to afford their energy bills, a number that has unquestionably increased in recent years due to the skewed implementation of the Net Zero policy.

It's high time we acknowledge that sacrificing the livelihood of millions of families in pursuit of this unfeasible policy is not a sacrifice we can afford. Instead, we need to reassess, revise, or completely scrap the Net Zero policy to ensure that it's sustainable, realistic, and, most importantly, affordable.

Join me in fighting against these rising costs and advocating for a fairer system that can comfortably coexist with affordable energy for all. Please sign this petition to put an end to the Net Zero policy's detrimental impact on energy prices.
