I no longer feel safe with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) operating in our communities. Their ruthless tactics and actions are repeatedly ignored, leading to unnecessary suffering and fear among innocent people. Instead of providing security, ICE agents have become synonymous with harassment, assault, and even killings—all without legitimate reasons.

Far too often, ICE raids homes unlawfully, pulling over individuals without cause, creating an atmosphere of fear and aggression. This kind of behavior is not only an abuse of power but also a significant violation of our basic human rights.

 ICE conducted over 143,000 administrative arrests, but a staggering number of those were people with no criminal record or minor offenses, according to the American Immigration Council. Such statistics underscore a troubling pattern of targeting individuals unfairly, raising the question of accountability and transparency within the agency.

ICE's budget has ballooned to over $8 billion, yet their focus seems more aligned with unjust deportations rather than addressing genuine security threats. This exorbitant spending could be redirected to better avenues like improving community policing or supporting immigration reform that respects human dignity.

Families have been torn apart, and lives have been disrupted under the watch of an agency that wields disproportionate power with little oversight. We deserve to feel safe in our neighborhoods, and it's time for a major reevaluation of how immigration enforcement is handled in America.
