As a staunch dog lover, like many Australians, I can no longer stand by and bear witness to the torment inflicted upon these animals. The greyhound racing industry has repeatedly shown that it is incapable and unwilling to ensure the welfare of its greyhounds. Let’s be real - The dogs are there simply to be exploited for monetary gain. 

And now we hear that “an explosive exit report written by GRNSW’s former chief veterinarian Alex Brittan contains a litany of allegations about animal welfare violations and substandard practices, from dogs with mouths of rotting teeth to the discovery of unreported burnt and frozen carcasses at a vet’s surgery.” SMH 11 July 2024 

The horrific conditions these dogs are forced to endure for the sake of entertainment and profit cannot be allowed to continue. 

We are seeking your support to demand the NSW government place a permanent ban on this cruel industry - it has proven over and over again it cannot be trusted to care for its animals.
