SeaWorld: STOP exploiting animals for human entertainment.

SeaWorld: STOP exploiting animals for human entertainment.
The Issue
As a child, I spent hours on the boat with my dad spotting dolphins in the wild and witnessing their freedom. However, as I grew up, I learnt about the negative impacts of dolphin captivity. I'm horrified that Sea World continues to breed dolphins in captivity.
Please sign and share this petition calling on Sea World to free the dolphins so we can create meaningful change.
Any tank, pool, or enclosed area is too cramped for a wild animal. Dolphins can travel 160km in the ocean a day and dive up to 45m, an impossible thing to do if in captivity.
I’m calling out SeaWorld, and urging them to do the right thing by their animals and ban captive dolphin breeding, as well as build a seaside sanctuary and let the existing captive animals live out the rest of their lives.
This way, those dolphins are free of exploitation from money hungry corporations. They should NOT be born and raised in an artificial environment and be destined to live their lives captive. These beautiful, sentient creatures deserve better.
In NSW, a new rule ensured captive dolphins will no longer be commercially bred in, or imported into New South Wales following a lengthy state-wide inquiry into animal welfare. Queensland must follow suit, and introduce animal welfare laws of their own.
The only real way to appreciate these magnificent animals is to let them be wild and free. If SeaWorld cares about their animals as they claim they do, and wants to be seen as a progressive organisation, it must end this abuse NOW.
Is it fair that human beings can manipulate the lives of animals for their own profit?
I believe the public attitude towards live animals being used in entertainment is changing. I need your support to show this to Sea World and to the government.
